One King. One Kingdom. One Life.
To define terms, God’s eternal vision, purpose, and will are viewed as synonymous and are used interchangeably.
The Godhead of eternity past, present, and future has revealed this mystery to us through Christ. Our discovery of eternal purpose, by revelation, is of utmost importance for an unshakable, unwavering trajectory to hit the mark of our fullness in Christ. A new creation infused with His DNA, transformed with a new heart, and conformed into His character. The amago dei, “the image of God.”
“Let Us make man in Our image, after Our likeness… So God created man in His own image; in the image of God He created him; male and female He created them. God blessed them and said to them, “Be fruitful and multiply, and fill the earth and subdue it…” (Gen. 1:26-28)
God desired to share His beauty and glory in relationship so He created family, metaphorically, the collective bride to ultimately marry the Lamb, His Only Begotten Son. The Bride of Christ: perfected in love and fulfilled in oneness.
Most importantly, on this journey of faith to fullness, be confident that in the spirit, your new man is already sufficient and perfected in Christ. I’m convinced that from this revelation, energized by the Holy Spirit and patience, our behavior (ethics) and current reality will line up with the HIGHER reality of Heaven.
Father… thy kingdom come, thy will be done in earth as it is in heaven… (Matt. 6:10)
We are Heaven’s conduits bringing the Kingdom of God to earth. Embrace this higher reality of the realm of Heaven which swallows up the lower reality of your current existence. You are BECOMING who you already ARE in Christ. Mortality putting on immortality.
“Till we all come in the unity of the faith, and of the knowledge of the Son of God, unto a perfect man, unto the measure of the stature of the fullness of Christ… may grow up into him in all things, which is the head, even Christ…” (Eph. 4:13, 15)
“And the glory which thou gavest me I have given them; that they may be one, even as we are one: I in them, and thou in me, that they may be made perfect in one; and that the world may know that thou hast sent me, and hast loved them, as thou hast loved me.” (Jn. 17:22-23)
“Now the Lord is the Spirit; and where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is liberty. But we all, with unveiled face, beholding as in a mirror the glory of the Lord, are being transformed into the same image from glory to glory, just as by the Spirit of the Lord.” (2 Cor. 3:17-18)
“For whom he did foreknow, he also did predestinate to be conformed to the image of his Son…” (Ro. 8:29)
May we give you a brief backdrop of a couple significant encounters that has formed the vision of Christ for Acts In Motion Christian Church?
In 2002, Jeffrey and Alina Parrott, had a life changing encounter with God when he highlighted rhema in the Book of Acts, especially:
“And the multitude of them that believed were of one heart and of one soul: neither said any of them that ought of the things which he possessed was his own; but they had all things common. And with great power gave the apostles witness of the resurrection of the Lord Jesus: and great grace was upon them all…” (Acts 4:32-35)
He then said: “Acts In Motion, I want to make you an expression of the NEW early church. Do not try to recreate the wheel, I already have My pattern–My pattern is my Son, My pattern is family. I will breathe a fresh breath of revelation on this generation.” As we meditated on this rhema (word) our understanding was opened. The Father gave us a mission to continue the work as “living epistles” in this generation. A people committed to a pure kingdom context: the pattern of Christ being King in every facet of life.
At that time, God seeded a deep longing in Jeffrey and Alina for authentic kingdom life where disciples were of one heart and soul. The status quo, business as usual, and the religious Laodicean slumber just doesn’t satisfy. In that season the questions arose: Is there more than this? How do we live God’s pattern for life practically–right now? How does this work in the current reality of society? How do we get back to Christ’s definition of the “real” church (ekklesia)? We have traveled across the world looking for answers, it’s been like searching for hidden treasure–very rare, incredibly valuable, and hard to find.
Furthermore, in 2012, the Father brought more clarity when He asked us a very interesting question, “Do you want to know my vision statement?” He said, “I want to see the reflection of my Son in my people. Now go serve their destiny.” That thought-provoking question keeps us focused on what really matters for eternity–making disciples that bear His image.
Since that time until now, that same passion burns, yet the answer has been discovered. The revelation of eternal vision is simpler than ever imagined, it’s relationship with Jesus the Christ and making Him the center of all things. If we know Him: we know life, we know significance, we know FULLNESS. It is a glorious journey… that will cost us everything, our life for His Life–the great exchange. In that place of surrender is our true rest.
Yeshua says,
“Whoever desires to come after Me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross, and follow Me…” (Mark 8:34)
“Take My yoke upon you and learn from Me, for I am gentle and lowly in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. For My yoke is easy and My burden is light.” (Matt. 11:29-30)
In simple terms, the vision is BEING CONFORMED INTO THE IMAGE OF CHRIST.
